Girls on the Run reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, our program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most.

 

A recent independent study reports:

 

97% of girls said they learn critical life skills including resolving conflict, helping others or making intentional decisions;

 

85% of girls improved in confidence, caring, competence, character development or connection to others; and

 

40% increase in physical activity level among girls who were least active at the start of the season

Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo is qualified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code EID: 81-5207676. Contributions to Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
