Within Greater Kalamazoo, we deliver Girls on Track in interested school districts that have a presence within Kalamazoo County (Otsego, Plainwell, Gull Lake, Parchment, Kalamazoo, Comstock, Galesburg-Augusta, Mattawan, Portage, Climax-Scotts, Schoolcraft, Vicksburg and Athens). Our territory is defined in conjunction with Girls on the Run International each year. Participating sites must meet program criteria and receive approval from Greater Kalamazoo GOTR to host the program.
Sites may be approved for multiple teams (teams consist of 8-12 girls) if space allows and adequate coaches are available. Teams at most sites meet right after school. Some locations offer evening meetings.
If Girls on Track is not in a school or organization in our program area, we can help you bring GOTR your way. Our hope is to bring the program to more locations to reach our goal of giving as many girls as possible in the Greater Kalamazoo Area the chance to be a girl on track. Girls on Track takes place in the fall each year. Site applications to host GOT in the fall are mailed to all eligible sites in April of each year.
To sign up a girl, please download and print our participant registration form by clicking here, and send it to the appropriate site liaison below by June 14, 2010. Please contact individual site liaisons for site specific information such as practice dates and times.
